By respecting the given topography and exposing the building to the surrounding vista and optimal cardinal points, the elementary privacy has been preserved. The quiet and safe neighbourhood consists of individual family houses. With its shape, structure and size, the new residential unit fits in the environment to the fullest. The project foresees a building consisting of a single residential unit, but with a possibility of dividing it into two independents units, split at the entrance hall.
Typologically, the building is organized into two sections in terms of function, space and shapes: a private, closed-cube-shaped section (sanitary facilities, kitchen, bedrooms), and the primary zone (living room, studio, dining area with a kitchen), which is predominantly an open space with big glass planes. At the same time, the zoning of the units and their orientation, as well as the shape of the house, meet the requirements of a passive house.
The entrance hall, which is also an exit to the roof, and the partly inserted console of the terrace allows for integration of the interior and the exterior space, at which the exterior becomes an exponent of the interior.
The basic concept of the dwelling is founded on the idea of a simply erected structure of the basic residential unit which, with its zoning, enables flexible use of space.
